Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze and to explore the responsive components, mechanism, and design parameters of responsive shading systems associated with umbrella concepts. In this context, a SWOT analysis has been carried out to identify situational strengths and weaknesses, as well as broader opportunities and threats, which hoped to generate further discussion about the prospects of responsive umbrella-like structure.
