Abstract
The requirement to decarbonize the built environment has intensified globally, with New Zealand aligning its objectives to ambitious climate goals. This study explores the potential of green hydrogen as a versatile energy carrier to revolutionize building operations and contribute to sustainable energy systems. The research objectives encompass developing public acceptance, analyzing energy out-comes, ensuring social and economic security, and formulating recommended policies for government consideration. This empirical study employed a multimethod approach, integrating literature review with qualitative interviews and a quantitative survey.
