Abstract

Sustainability is a critical issue that requires urgent attention, and the circular economy (CE) is a promising concept for creating a more sustainable future. Understanding the factors influencing the adoption and implementation of CE is essential. This research aims to conduct an analysis of the literature on CE and sustainability with the aim of developing an all-inclusive comprehension of the concept and its potential advantages. The research examines the factors facilitating or impeding the CE implementation. By examining the role of technology in facilitating CE strategies, the research offers insights into the opportunities and challenges associated with technology adoption for CE. The impact of CE strategies on different stakeholders, including businesses, consumers, and the environment, providing a comprehensive understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of CE strategies and their implications for different stakeholders is also assessed. Finally, gaps in knowledge will be identified, and further research in the area of CE will be recommended. The outcomes of this research will be valuable to businesses, policymakers, and researchers in the field of sustainability, CE, and environmental management. This research contributes to the existing body of knowledge on CE and sustainability, providing recommendations for creating a more sustainable economy and environment.
