GDI 2026
Driving innovation through digital twin.

GDI 2026 builds on the inaugural edition and continues the international exchange it began on design, construction and sustainable development. It is organised in conjunction with DigiBUILT 2026, its sister conference on the digital frontier of the built environment.
Given the uncertainty of the current geopolitical landscape, and to keep participation equitable and certain for a global community, the organisers decided to hold the main conference entirely online on 7 and 8 December 2026, with substantially reduced registration fees.
An in-person Industry Chapter preceded the online conference. Held on 11 September 2026 at the Sir Paul Reeves Building, AUT, in collaboration with the Aga Khan Award for Architecture exhibition and public conversation, it attracted more than 300 delegates.
