Code of Conduct

Participation means acceptance. No signature is required.

Submitting any contribution to GDI or DigiBUILT, including GDI 2025, or registering for, attending, presenting at or otherwise taking part in any GDI-related event, means you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Participation and the policies they incorporate. See clause 2.

The standard of behaviour expected of everyone taking part in GDI and DigiBUILT, in person and online.

1.Scope#

This Code applies to all Participants and GDI Persons at every venue, social function and online space connected with an Edition, including the conference platform, chat and social media.

2.Expected behaviour#

2.1

Everyone is expected to:

  1. treat others with courtesy and respect, including in disagreement;
  2. address ideas and evidence;
  3. respect session time limits so that every presenter is heard;
  4. respect confidentiality, including in peer review; and
  5. follow the reasonable instructions of the Organiser, session chairs and venue staff.

3.Unacceptable behaviour#

3.1

The following are not tolerated:

  1. harassment, intimidation or discrimination on any ground, including sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, disability, age or nationality;
  2. unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention, stalking or deliberate disruption;
  3. offensive material in presentations, chat or social media; and
  4. recording or photographing people who have asked not to be recorded.

4.Reporting#

Concerns can be reported to any member of the organising committee, at the registration desk, or by email to the conference address. Reports are handled promptly and in confidence. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

5.Consequences#

The Organiser may warn, remove or exclude any person who breaches this Code from the current and future Editions without refund, and may inform the person’s institution or the authorities where appropriate.
