Sustainability Commitments

Draft for legal reviewApplies to all GDI and DigiBUILT editions, including GDI 2025Version 1.1, October 2026
Participation means acceptance. No signature is required.

Submitting any contribution to GDI or DigiBUILT, including GDI 2025, or registering for, attending, presenting at or otherwise taking part in any GDI-related event, means you have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Participation and the policies they incorporate. See clause 2.

A conference about green built environments should keep its own footprint in view.

1.Format choices#

Online participation and recorded presentations reduce the need for long-haul travel. The Series offers them as standing options available to every author.

2.Materials#

Programmes, books of abstracts and certificates are issued digitally by default, and printed materials are kept to what delegates need on site.

3.Catering and venues#

For in-person Editions, the Organiser asks venues and caterers for seasonal and local menus, reusable serviceware and waste separation.

4.Reporting#

The Organiser intends to report on the main sustainability measures taken at each in-person Edition on its Edition page.
